INKA CROPS BECOMES THE LARGEST EXPORTER OF NATIVE PERUVIAN POTATOS

Inka Crops has become the first Peruvian company to export native Peruvian potato varieties on a massive scale, having purchased almost 300 tons of native potato varieties from 25 Andean agricultural cooperatives in the regions of Junín and Huancavelica. The raw material has been converted into over 83 tons of processed product, equivalent to 490,104 bags of chips exported to the United States under the name Peruvian Potato Chips. According to the Association of Exporters (ADEX), these sales have surpassed the historic total from the period 2014-2018 of 64 tons of native potatoes.
